Competence The local industry of Jämtland and the Mid Sweden University are together involved in a cooperation project, which at present is entering an interesting phase as the University is expanding, and is moving to a new, larger campus in central Östersund. The new campus will, for instance, have a new Technology Park. Being close to Mid Sweden University and its 5,000 students means that in addition to the wide range of expertise of the University’s scientific institutions, there are good recruitment opportunities for companies in need of a qualified workforce in areas involving IT, technology, tourism, business management and entrepreneurship.
