Snow is a natural product, which people, companies, municipalities, contractors and organisations in Jämtland/Härjedalen have made into a profitable selling product in many different ways.
The winter with its snow, ice and coldness has without doubt become one of our most valuable assets. It is not only a time for sport activities anymore. It also includes cultural events, such as ice sculpturing competitions and a concert igloo.
Two thirds of all visits to the province are during the winter months, and more money is spent during this period than any other months, in fact it amounts to three quarters of the total annual revenue.
