Possible Data Center locations in Sveg - site 3

General information about Sveg:

* Sveg is located in the middle of Sweden, 430 km from Stockholm.

* The local airport has two day return routes to Stockholm Arlanda airport.

* The municipality has long experience in large and successful establishments, like for example the US based call center SYKES, with 300 employees in Sveg.

* The municipality has a strong and healthy economy.

* The average temperature last year was 2 ° C or 36 °F.

* The ongoing three year investment plan is close to 300 million USD.

* Sveg is located in support area A, the highest incentive level in Sweden with a possibility for investment grant up to 35%.

Sveg – Site 3

OWNER			Municipality of Härjedalen.
LOCATION			Industrial area in the western part of Sveg. lon: 62.03231 lat: 14.34085

SITE CHARACTERISTICS			Greenfield, development land, approved zone for industrial use according to city planning.
POWER			A new high voltage substation (40/20kV) is 400m away. The available capacity for a DC will be more then 10MW, distributed on redundant power lines and transformers, connecting the substation to the regional grid.
CONNECTIVITY			One fiber optic connection point is at the new power substation. Another provider has a connection point within short range, about 900m

COOLING			The site is in direct association to the test plant for biofuel production. At full scale the plant is going to need larges amounts of cooling water for the process. The water is going to be pumped from the river Ljusnan. The river water with an average temperature of 6 °C or 43 °F, can become a very cost efficient cooler for a Data Center. The site is also close the greenhouse area that is going to be heated by excess heat from the biofuel plant. Heat from a large Data Center could also be recycled and create an environmentally friendly image for the DC.
