Midscand is an organization within the Mid Sweden Chamber of commerce (Handelskammaren Mitt Sverige Service AB) and the Midscand team is employed by this company.
Project owners are the municipalities of Berg, Bräcke, Härjedalen, Strömsund, Östersund and the Regional council of Jämtland. The steering committee consists of the Managers of Business from each municipality (that participate in the project).
Midscand is a regional partner of the public authority Invest Sweden and work therefore on behalf of the whole region of Jämtland.
The project is an independent project with clear goals that are based on the regional development strategy and the common goals of the municipalities. The current project is running until end of 2013.
