Our region
The county of Jamtland has about 127,000 inhabitants. The majority of them, 58,000, live in Östersund municipality. If Jämtland County were to have as many inhabitants per square kilometre as the Netherlands, we would have 18 million people residing here.
In Jämtland the pace of life is less stressful largely because of the closeness to nature and the good quality of life. Life away from work, the part of our life where we seek strength and inspiration and growth as individuals. This is reflected in dealings with the municipalities and industry with short decision routes and a readiness for cooperation the order of the day.At Midscand we are keen to stress three reasons that make Jämtland so attractive for those setting up new operations or expanding:

Eight municipalities, one goal
The County of Jämtland comprises eight local municipalities. The population density and the industry profile may differ from place to place, but in relation to new companies setting up in the area, the attitude is invariably the same:“We want to make it easy for you to establish yourself as fast as possible and with the minimum of effort.”
