The Power Region

This is the ultimate place in Sweden for power. The majority of the green power in Sweden is produced here at large hydro plants and wind power park. All power produced in the northern parts are transferred thru the Power Region, all together it is enough to power up NYC.

Only green energy

Green electricity produced from 100% renewable sources (Hydro 73 %, Bio 19 %, Wind 8 %). Jämtland has some of the largest hydro power plants and is the fastest growing region when it comes to develop and build wind power. Possibility to invest in wind power parks to reduce the energy tax.

Free cooling every day

Östersund can offer free cooling 99, 99 % of the time. Approximately 36 hours in a ten year period have just reached above the recommended level of free cooling by ASHRAE TC9.9. The annual average temperature is 3, 4 degrees C.

Low OPEX and CAPEX

Energy tax is the lowest in the country, for example 34 % lower than Stockholm. Possible to invest in on going wind power projects to further reduce/eliminate energy taxes. Jämtland is located in support area A, the highest incentive level in Sweden.

The City of Östersund provides a site in one of the world’s most remarkable locations. Optimally suited for Mega, Large and Medium sized Data Centers.
